It's nice to finally get this program up here. It's not going to generate you a lot of MS points but some is better than nothing. 12

EDIT-I knew I held off using that 12 month card for a reason!

Frig.. I just activated a new one because it was on sale - 3 months before my Gold ran out. :(

Maybe they will take into account that my Gold veteran status is like 3 or 4 now. One can hope..

Yeah baby. I am all over this. Now if Microsoft can just make sure BING rewards also comes to Canada I will be super duper uber happy.

That would be awesome if it happens. I need a new search bar to get something out of after Air Miles stopped giving out miles for there search bar last month.

Maybe you guys didn't catch this but I would not be too quick to enter than 12 month card just yet...

First item on the list: Renew 1 Month XBL subscription 400 pts.

Notice how it's NOT in the section for "one time only" instead it's in the Recurring Activities.

I read that as MS is going to give me 400 pts EACH month that I renew. At the cost of Points your XBL gold membership would be FREE as they return the value to you each month.
Use them for Games on Demand, XBLA, Zune Marketplace or the regular Games Marketplace.

Sure they give you 400 pts for renewing your 12 month card too - but you only do that once a year (normally)...

I think it's time to go Monthly boys and girls...

Yep same here. After looking at the rewards chart, I do not see this as being all that good after all. Since I am already a member or Netflix, already a Live Gold member, already purchased 191 XBLA games, do I get credit for anything? Do I need to cancel Netflix and resign to get rewards? And is all this work worth a few points?

It's a new month so don't forget about the survey. I just did it and checked my balance. I got 30MS points for renewing my 3 month membership. Actually, I wanted to enter my 1 year card before the 3 month renewal kicked in. Anyhow...70MS points so far! LOL...10 more points away from a cheap avatar prop or cheap Rock Band song!!!

I gave up on this program awhile back now.. I signed up when it became available to Canadians and I still haven't even received a confirmation email despite consulting the support team several times. I'm not even sure I want to join anymore since I heard some people received way too many points from the program and were subsequently suspended/banned because of it. I can live without a few hundred extra points..

Suspended/Banned? Wow, that's pretty harsh for MS to go given they were the ones who make the mistake.

Yeah, I agree. I don't know if it really was a result of the Rewards program giving out too many points, that's just what the "victims" claimed.

Anyway, I got an email this afternoon stating that the Rewards program has been fixed up now, so I should be able to sign up. I went through the process and it seemed to work - it was quite different from my last tries. Hopefully it works, I get some "free" points, and don't run into suspension issues with MSP. 11 07

So my Rewards account seems to be working but I haven't yet been acknowledged for signing up with Netflix and using it through my 360. I did that maybe 3 days ago, although apparently it can take up to 4 so I'll see. At least my 12 month renewal counted. I entered the code 3 months ago but it only activated a couple of days after my Rewards account did - convenient.

I noticed this morning that the 130 MS points I've earned so far were credited to my account. Not bad for not really having to do anything.
