Anyone else got Gears 3 preordered to get some beta access this is last week I believe you can get codes?

I was playing it and got say it damn cool so far and lag free. New server base system seems to be a great move on there part.

They added some new weapons like:

Retro Lancer ...no chain saw but great big hunting knife...it's insane when you get stuck with it or do the sticking.

Sawed off shotgun this sucker is a melee of guns ...only holds 1 shot at a time and reload is slow but man put it in someone face and watch them turn into giblets.

Burrow gun not sure what this sucker is about but it sends something into the ground and when it hits you lets just say you don't want to get hit.

You can spot people now kind of like Battle Field this really helps weed out the hidden people, though you don't get points for it but does count to your unlocks.

Currently they are doing theme days with the modes last night was Team Death Match and was a blast once I got over trying to control my guy like I was playing battlefield LOL.

The map during load shows where each team will spawn and where the certain weapons will spawn on the map too very cool. If you check it out while waiting for re-spawn you can see where your team is and any enemies that have been spotted.

Over all I'm very impressed and looking forward to a whole lot more Gears actions hopefully some of my Asylum buddies will get on this action with me.

I am also holding off the Gears 3 beta bandwagon. I have little time to play for the next few months (finishing off some courses). I am actually glad that Duke was delayed.

Never been interested in the Gear series to be quite honest, however, if you want to buy me a copy...

Funny that you say that Knolan, it was the first game I ever saw on the 360 as well... was at Dal's house. It was even before my "Halo 3 period".

Great game, great fun and the co-op campaign play is great not to mention the awesome re-play value in single player and multi-player.

IMO it's a top 3 game overall.

Graphics are not an improvement. Game play is not allot different. Maybe more so back to gears 1. Controls are the same. But this Franchise has not lost its fun factor. this is a day one for me. I will be on tonight with im sure at least 1 friend. Anyone looking to join is welcome. Im always looking to spear some peeps in the guts with the lancer.

I would be interested to see the stats they are gathering on kills. I'm willing to bet there is a large spike in the graph on total recorded Gnasher/Sawed-off gun kills.

With the tight maps it just makes sense to use the shotgun - I shot kill if you do it right which is impossible to replicate with any of the reg rifles.

That's freaking funny! When I read the article, I thought it would be a great way to get a chance to try the beta.
