This makes me very happy! The co-op campaign could be very interesting.

I hope that they have some sort of splitscreen MP. I know there have been a few nights were my wife would of liked to join in on our mayhem in BC2.

My wish list for BF3:

- Theatre Mode: For a game that emphasizes having those battlefield 'moments', you'd think you would have a way for all of your customers to not only experience them, but capture them as well. It's a great feature in the Halo series, and COD now has it.

- Saved Loadouts: Another feature that COD has, and has had for a few games now. For example, I want my ATM-Engineer loadout available with one button click without having to quickly race through the weapons and specs at the beginning of a round, losing valuable seconds and getting killed when I'm still trying to drop the mines on the road.

- A single player campaign that gives us the opportunity to really get comfortable with the vehicles available. I'm not talking a short 2 min segment in a UAV, rather an entire level or something.

- Fix spotting: if you all remember the brief beta/demo they had for BC2 on the 360, you could spam the back button and it would light up the enemies in the far-off distance like a string of Xmas lights. Then the full version came out and now you sometimes cannot light up an enemy you've had in you crosshairs for 3 seconds from 40 yards away. Terribly inconsistent now. Between these two extremes, they have to find a solution that works.

- Lightweight armor: Nothing much to say here other than I want to see it make a return as I frigging love it! To generalize: For the players that decide to use iron sights, continue to make the other specs available very beneficial (like the LW armor).

That is all.

Is it Fall yet?

I agree with everything you said there. Theatre Mode would be so awesome for capturing "battlefield moments" or as I like to call them "HUH?!? moments".

The game sort of does saved loadouts at the moment, but it's limited to one set per class. I know what you mean though, that would definitely be more efficient and useful.

Spotting really does need to be improved, and I admit to often abusing it. If someone is like one pixel wide way out in the distance you shouldn't be able to point out their head to everyone on your team, it just doesn't make sense. This would of course make it harder for me to shoot someone in the head through a tree from 200m away.. but I'll give that up in the name of realism.

I personally prefer add-on sights to LW armour most of the time, but I like the gameplay dynamic it creates and also think they should keep it in the next game.

I hope that this time around they focus more on a wider variety of maps rather than adding new game types.

I read somewhere about a theatre style mode being implemented and of course, I can't find the link now. Next time we get a bunch of us together, we should play some Squad Deathmatch. Silent and I played a few matches this afternoon and it was pretty fun.

I just noticed that the BF3 site is saying the new game will give the option to go prone. I kind of like the idea of not having prone now for some reason. I guess it seems to discourage camping in a way. Perhaps the spotting system should remain as is?

This seems to be a slightly modified picture of the full cover art for the final game.

This game can't get here fast enough. Hopefully when they reveal some details March 1, a solid release date can be announced.

It's looking strangely reminiscent of the latest Medal of Honor from EA. I hope they don't lose their Battlefield roots with this one. I don't think they will though, these mini interviews make me even more excited for this game to come out!

The "Limited Edition" content has been announced:

I never played 3 of the 4 maps (barely played BF2) but am excited about Wake Island, it was a blast to play in 1943.

Those maps are pretty awesome, I can't wait to see what they look like with refreshed graphics! I would liken Strike at Karkand to something like Oasis and Harvest Day from BC1, classic hallmarks from the game. 12 I think I played like 75% of my games on Karkand in BF2, lol.

Clutes and I just got back from being out in this snow storm and I couldn't help but think, how cool would a level be in BF3 where your fighting in a snow storm and you can't see anything in front of you. Imagine driving a tank and running into a teammate on a quad...HUH! 14

I think that would be really cool.. for like 10 minutes. Then people would probably start to get fed up about not being able to see anything.. haha.

Although it we were to modify that scenario a bit it could be pretty badass.. Let's say the setting was similar to the one in that movie 30 Days of Night or Whiteout where snowstorms rage outside for one month of the year. There could be a town with many houses/buildings and you could run in between them, being sheltered from the snowstorm indoors and blinded by it outdoors. I'd play that map! (in a UAV of course)

Gee wonder were you got that idea...maybe the single player campaign :) Even if you take out the freezing cold part it would just turn into a shotgun fest (and a random spotting frenzy)
