Psychological action thriller, Alan Wake has been in development for over 6 years, but the wait is finally just about over. Microsoft has confirmed that the game inspired by Stephen King, Lost and Twin Peaks will arrive on store shelves on May 18 in North America and 3 days later for our Euro friends in both a regular and special limited edition format. If you decide to run right out and pre-order a copy, Microsoft will reward your impulsive nature by providing you with a bunch of goodies for the actions.

All those who pre-order Alan Wake will receive the “Bright Falls Bonus Pack” that includes avatar gear, an Xbox Live theme and a “making of video”. Still not enough Alan Wake for your taste, then the limited edition collector’s Edition is exactly what you need. This definitive copy of the game will include a bonus disc with behind-the-scenes footage, exclusive in-game commentary and hints from Remedy (the fine game developers) , a game soundtrack, “The Alan Wake Files” book, and more, all bound together in a hardcover bookshelf-worthy package.
