While Project Natal has been making headlines for Microsoft and the Xbox 360, Sony's own motion based offering has been very quiet. That was till today. Sony took advantage of the Game Developers Conference to unveil the PlayStation Move. The wireless motion based controller look awfully similar to the Wii Remote and nunchuck attachment with coloured ping pong balls stuck on top. Regardless of the appearance of the device, the Move will be supported by more than thirty developers and will have a library of more than twenty games by its launch date of Fall 2010. There are plenty of fine racing games available for the Xbox 360, but Formula One fans have been left in the dark. Part of this reason was that Sony had a lock on Formula One games. That lock has been passed on to Codemasters and the developer is about to end that drought and bring the high speed racing series to the Xbox 360 for the first time, along with the PS3 and PC platform. The game will feature all the F1 teams, circuits and cars of the 2010 season. The game is scheduled for a September release. Read on for more information.

What do you get when you combine the gameplay elements of Mario Kart Racing and the extreme feeling of speed and fine visuals of Need for Speed? I heck of a lot of fun that is what. Blur is the newest game from Bizarre Creations (the creators of the popular PGR franchise). The game is not due for another few months, but Bizarre has been holding a private beta of the multiplayer aspect of which I was fortunate enough to gain access to. How does the game stack up so far you ask? I am glad you asked. Read on for more information.

There was a lot of debate recently if EA would drop the Tiger Woods moniker from its Tiger Woods PGA Tour series of games. What with Tiger's compulsive need for stroke play. Fear not, just as Elin found out, there is plenty of Tiger Woods for everyone. Tiger will be returning to the tile, mind you in a diminished form. Since the game will features less Tiger, the devs have opted to actually improve the game by including the Ryder Cup and team play to the series. The game will also make use of the WiiMotion Plus controller and the yet unnamed (but codenamed Gem) PS3 motion controller. No word on any Project Natal support. Read on for more information.

Tired of playing guitar games that features plastic instruments with buttons. Then "Power Gig: Rise of the SixString" is the game for you. What makes the game different from Guitar Hero or Rock Band is the fact that the game controller is a fully functional six-string electric guitar. The developers at Seven45 Studios (sister company of musical instrument maker First Act) promise the game will be as easy to learn and play as all other musical games, but that you can drop the game, plug the guitar into an amp and jam away. Final Fantasy XIII was released today in North America. The months leading up to the release was focused on which version of the game would look better. This is after all Sony's chance to outshine the Xbox 360 and prove that Blu-Ray is indeed essential to gaming. Not trusting the opinion of any site that generates advertising $$$, I set out to find out for myself if any particular version displayed a significant advantage over another. Please note that I do not have any fancy screen capture utility, just my camera. All images where taken under identical conditions.
PS/ To make things fair, I will never disclose which screenshots are from which version of the game. Read on for more information.
