I could not find a thread for this game, so consider this one THE ONE. Anyone planning on getting this title? I recently read that the game will contain over 10 hours of cut-scenes. 10 freaking hours. To put this in context, this is about the same as the Lord of the Rings Trilogy Extended Editions....COMBINED. I like playing games, not watching games. Will I get Final Fantasy XIII? Yes, when I can pick it up for less than $30.

I will be getting this game to play with my wife as these are her favorite games. I will do some review or impressions on the game I can't wait to get my hands on it. It's all about having a good story and they normally tops.

10 hrs of cut scenes wouldn't be so bad as long as you get mega hrs of game play.

from what I am reading, the game can be finished in about 40hrs - 50hrs, but that includes the 10 hrs of cut scenes. Consider that Fallout required about the same amount of time to complete (I spent close to 80hrs) with less than 10 minutes of cut scenes (intro and ending only)and Mass Effect 2 over 40hrs (still not done) and less than 20 minutes total cut scenes. I hope we can skip the cut-scenes for otherwise I may never watch the game.

LOL yeah I know what you mean I watched my Wife play ....or something ...this is what i would call an interactive movie maybe, at least so far this is how it feels She has about 4 hours in right now. Could change down line maybe will wait and see. Story line so far is kind of weird but sort of making more sense as we play though.

I have played over 4 hours now, won every single battle, all but a couple with 5 stars while not pressing any other button than "A". The A is Autobattle (or is that autofight???) and will select the best move to perform in a typical situation. Between 1 minute of fighting for every two minutes of pre-rendered animation, the game is very much playing itself.

Like I said it's an interactive movie that is the only way I can think to describe it.
